
Welcome to the 2025 golf season at Twin Beach Country Club. This season marks our 95th anniversary and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. Please see below for some information that will allow us to have a successful season together with you.
Golf
-
It is required that you sign in at the Pro Shop before beginning every round of golf. Whether you have advance tee time or are a walk-on, please sign in.
-
Scorecards, pencils, and complimentary tees are located in the Pro Shop and inside the green box adjacent to hole #1 tee box.
-
Please tee off on hole 1 or 10 only, unless the Pro Shop gives you permission to begin elsewhere.
-
Golfing groups should be comprised of 4-somes. Two-somes should be paired together, when possible, to help ensure a speedy pace of play. The Pro Shop reserves the right to pair all two-somes.
-
Any group wishing to contain more than 4 players must obtain permission from the pro shop. Each situation will be evaluated, and permission may not always be granted.

Golf Course Dress Code
-
Men: collared shirts that are tucked in with shorts or slacks.
-
Ladies: collared shirts, sleeveless shirt with collar, skirts, skorts, shorts, or slacks. No tank tops.
-
Tasteful cargo pants are permitted.
-
No denim.
-
No backwards hats.
-
The dress code is in effect on the practice range, putting green, and short game area.

Tee Times
-
Tee times are required all day, every day.
-
Tee times can be made online or by calling the Pro Shop at 248-363-3335, extension #3.
-
Tee times can be made up to 7 days in advance beginning at 7:00am.

The log in name/password you use for online billing will also be the same log in name/password that you use for online tee times.

Same day tee times can be made by calling the Pro Shop at 248-363-3335, extension #3.

Open Play
-
Walk-ons with notice: please call the Pro Shop in advance of your arrival at 248-363-3335, extension #3 to inquire about optimal times to play.

Walk-ons without notice: will be accommodated when possible.

Help us keep our golf course beautiful
-
Fairway or tee box divots: please fill with divot sand.
-
Rough divots: replace your divot in the rough.
-
Ball marks: repair all ball marks on the greens, even if it is not yours.
-
Non-metal or spikeless golf shoes are required.
-
-
Walking & Carrying Members
-
Twin Beach has staged numerous thin divot bottles with a clip you may clip to your bag so that you can fill fairway and tee box divots.
-
If you need additional divot mix while on the golf course, call the Pro Shop at 248-363-3335, extension #3 and it will be delivered to you.
-

Pace of Play
-
The pace of play per 9-holes is 2-hours or less.
-
Please allow faster groups to play through.
-
The USGA allows for a maximum of three minutes of time to search for a lost golf ball.
-
Pace of play will be strictly enforced for all day-to-day play, league play, and event play. Groups deemed “off pace” could be asked to skip holes, be moved into position, and/or forfeit the round.

Tips for Faster Play
-
Check your bag prior to tee off to make sure you haven’t left any clubs on the practice range.
-
Your tee time is the time you should be teeing off at, not walking to the tee at.
-
Quickly exit the greens and record scores on your scorecard when you arrive at your next hole.

Guest Green Fees
-
$40 per person for 9 holes.
-
$60 per person for 18 holes.
-
Juniors 17 & under guest green fees are $10 for 9 holes and $20 for 18 holes.
-
All guest green fees will be charged to the member account. Cash and credit cards are not accepted.

Guest Golfing Policy
-
The same name guest cannot play more than twice per month and the total # of holes may not exceed 36.
-
Tuesday – Friday: Guests are permitted to play any time, provided they are accompanied by a member.
-
Saturday/Sunday: Guests are permitted to play any time after 12:00pm, provided they are accompanied by a member.
-
Exceptions could be made by the Pro Shop based on demand.

Social Members Golf Policy
-
Each social membership is permitted to play golf up to four nine-hole rounds per season.
-
Social members are required to pay the standard 9 or 18-hole guest fee.
-
Social members may not play before 12pm on Saturday/Sunday and at other peak times.
-

Pull Carts
-
Complimentary pull carts are available for members that store their clubs in the bag room.
-
Members that do not store their clubs may use a pull cart for a $3 charge per round.
-
Pull carts are allowed between bunkers and greens.
-
The club has acquired six new pull carts for the 2025 season.
-
-
Electric Carts
-
Electric carts are available and feature a newer fleet of Club Cars. Check in the Pro Shop prior to using an electric cart to receive your cart key.
-
$16 per person for 9 holes.
-
$26 per person for 18 holes.
-
On the golf course there are brown posts with white caps on every hole. Please do not take your electric cart inside the imaginary post line.
-
Electric carts should never be taken to the left of #9 green.
-
A valid driver’s license is required to operate golf carts.
-
Golfers should return electric carts at least 30 minutes prior to darkness.
-
Members playing 18 holes that wish to walk the front 9 & ride the back 9 is common. Should you choose to ride the back 9, call the Pro Shop at 248-363-3335 extension #3 and a cart will be staged with your name on it at the turn for you.

Double Greens
-
Holes 5, 6, and 9 – play to the left yellow flag; Holes 14, 15, 18 – play to the right checkered flag.
-
You must wait until the entire green is clear before you may hit your approach shot into the green.
-
-
Bunkers
-
When entering a bunker, please do so from the low side of the bunker.
-
Please rake all bunkers after you’ve hit your shot.
-
Place bunker rakes OUTSIDE of bunkers when finished.
-
-
Making the Turn
-
When tee times are in effect, tee times have the right of way.
-
-
Out of Bounds and Power Lines
-
Out of bounds is located throughout the golf course and is defined by white stakes.
-
If your golf ball enters the practice range from either hole 1 or hole 10 is considered out of bounds. Due to safety concerns, you may not play your golf ball from any part of the practice range.
-
If your golf ball strikes a power line, you must replay the shot without penalty.
-
-
Junior Golf (17 & Under)
-
Junior golf is encouraged. Juniors should be accompanied by an adult.
-
Weekday junior golf is preferred. Weekend junior golf is permitted after 5pm during the months of May-August. Exceptions can be made by the Pro Shop staff.
-
On designated Thursdays, the golf course could be reserved for juniors only.
-
Exceptions to the junior golf policies could be made by the Pro Shop Staff.

Handicapping
-
You are required to enter your 9 or 18-hole score into the World Handicap System after your golf round.
-
The handicap committee will review all handicap issues.
-

Geese Chasing Service
-
To keep Geese off the golf course as much as possible, Twin Beach has contracted Geese Chasers LLC. Geese Chasers LLC features a specially trained dog and provides daily service at sporadic times. Members may not bring their own dogs onto the golf course during the months Geese Chasers LLC is present.

As you approach the halfway house on holes #5/#14, please ring the bell located on the right side of the fairway near the 150-yard mark. The bell alerts golfers behind you that it’s safe to hit.
-
There are benches, trash cans, and ball washers located on every golf hole.
-

Golf lessons with PGA Professionals Jim McGuigan and Jordan Weinger are available by request. Call Jim at 248-363-3335 or email pro@twinbeachcc.com.

Private outdoor lessons with Jim are $100 per hour. Indoor lessons are also available at Breakfast Ball Golf Sim in Waterford, MI.

Demo clubs: thanks to our friends at Callaway Golf and PING, we’ll have ample demo clubs for your enjoyment. All demo clubs must be signed out by a Pro Shop team member prior to use.

Regripping services are available. Contact the Pro Shop Manager to have your club(s) regripped.

Hitting golf balls from 1st tee, 10th tee, or practice green area towards the woods of holes 9/18 or 6/15 is prohibited. Members that do not observe this rule could lose their privilege to play in the next formal golf event.

Periodically you may see staff performing maintenance on the golf course. Thank you for your patience.
-
The Pro Shop has been given the ultimate authority by the Board of Directors to enforce all golf course rules.
Practice Facility
-
Members may enjoy unlimited use of the practice facility for no additional fee.
-
The club has acquired all new practice range balls for the 2025 season.
-
The practice range is approximately 150 yards long. Do not hit shots longer than 150 yards.
-
Limited flight balls are available for you to hit longer clubs with.
-
For members that wish to hit real golf balls, please visit our new hitting cage adjacent to the Halfway House.
-
There will be a weekly rotation between utilizing AstroTurf and the real grass to hit range balls. When AstroTurf is being utilized, please do not hit off the real grass.
-
Please do not hit practice balls from the practice range tee deck towards the short game practice area on the left.
-
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday the practice facility closes approximately 45 minutes prior to darkness. Thursday and Sunday the practice facility closes one hour prior to darkness so that a “clean pick” can be performed, and the range be mowed.

While walking down the #1 or #10 fairway, if you see yellow range balls, please toss them back over towards range.
-
While practicing in the short game area, please rake the practice bunker after use.
-
For any smoking, members are encouraged to avoid smoking near the short game area, practice range, and/or putting green.
Bag Storage
-
Members pay $100 annually for club storage. Members that pay for storage receive complimentary pull carts.
-
Members that store more than one bag or their own private pull cart will be charged an additional $100.
Bag Staff
-
Twin Beach regularly schedules bag boys / bag girls to assist inside the club storage room.
-
The bag staff are compensated by tips only.
-
Tipping the bag staff and/or the Pro Shop team for club cleaning is suggested. An average tip can be anywhere from $1.00 - $5.00.
-
Venmo can also be utilized, please check directly with each bag staff team member.
-
Members often leave a handful of dollar bills in their golf bags for easy access.
-

Halfway House
-
The Halfway House typically opens once temperatures remain consistently above freezing.
-
Restrooms, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages are available inside the Halfway House.
-
The Halfway House can be accessed at holes 1, 5, 6, 9, 10, and 14.
-
If you take a snack or beverage, please fill out a Chit located inside the Halfway House. Be sure to legibly record your last name and member number.
-
If you’d like a carry out meal / alcoholic beverage, please call us at 248-363-3335 ext. 4 & we’ll deliver it to you.
Locker Rooms
-
Full & half lockers are available. Full lockers are $100 per season & half lockers are $55 per person.
-
Showers and restrooms are available inside the locker rooms.
-
Please use white towels for showering, do not use purple towels.
-
The men’s showers were recently renovated.
-
-
Purple towels are available in both men’s and lady’s locker rooms for members to take onto the golf course to clean golf clubs with. Please return purple towels when you are finished with your golf round.

Please do not store your pull carts or golf clubs inside the Locker Rooms.
