Following are some rules governing use of the golf course, hints to speed play, the electric cart rules and some cart courtesy ideas.

  • Divots. Replace entire divot and stamp firmly in place with heel.
  • Sand Traps. Footprints and depressions in sand traps must be smoothed over with rake by player before leaving the trap. All trap rakes should be placed "in The Sand Trap" following use.
  • Ball Marks. Ball marks left unrepaired on the greens are not only unsightly, but also damage the greens and hamper everyone's putting. Take the time to look for your mark (plus one other) made in the green and repair it.
  • In an effort to speed play, it is recommended that on hole #6 and Mens #13 the players on the tee be waved-up once all members of the foresome have arrived on the green and all have proceeded to the rear of the green and are in a position to visually follow the flight of the ball off the tee. Players on the tee should not proceed until all members of the foresome ahead have complied with the foregoing procedure. Do not wave-up on hole #4 and Ladies #13. Continue putting and exit the green as soon as possible.
  • Player having looked for a lost ball for 5 minutes will immediately either wave the group behind to play through while returning to the location of his previous shot to rehit, or, in the case of non-tournament play, drop another ball in the approximate location of the lost ball and continue play, taking the appropriate penalty in either case.
  • Eighteen holes of golf are intended to be played in four hours or less.
  • You should limit yourself to 13 minutes from tee off to tee off on all par 4's. The par 5's (tee off to tee off) should not exceed 15 minutes and the par 3's about 12 minutes.  These times are for a foursome. Groups of 3 or 2 naturally takes less time.
  • Keep pull carts off greens. Do not let pull carts go between sand traps and greens.
  • Advise your guests of our rules.

Hints to speed up play include:

  • Do not mark scores while on the green.
  • Putt out whenever possible. Mark your ball only when you are in someone else's line.
  • Go to your ball in the fairway and be ready to hit as soon as the person behind you hits. (The complete foursome or a twosome in a cart should not wait at their partners ball before proceeding to their own ball.)
  • Do not let a complete hole open up in front of your group.
  • Bring beginners out when course play is light, such as Saturday after 4 RM.
  • BE READY TO HIT WHEN IT IS YOUR TURN. • Take one or two practice swings then hit. Do not fall asleep over the ball.

CART RULES

  • Sign for electric carts and hand carts in Pro Shop.
  • Persons under 16 years of age shall not operate electric carts.
  • Signs placed on the course for cart directions are to be obeyed by all members and guests.

ELECTRIC CART COURTESY

  • Do not start until everyone has driven from tee.
  • Do not drive out ahead of the ball which is closest to the tee. Never drive ahead when someone is playing a shot.
  • Never park in front of a green while putting. If possible, park high on the side of the green nearest to the next tee, out of the way of the next group.
  • Never drive carts closer to greens or traps than 10 yards. Drive carts in accordance with the CART CONTROL PROGRAM as outlined in the plastic enclosed instruction sheet and diagrams in the carts. During dry weather, driving down the fairways is acceptable. Drive no closer to the front of green than the cart control posts. During wet weather or when the fairways are soft, keep the carts in the rough and exercise the 90 degree rule. Use common sense.
